Blocks will be supplied and only those blocks may be used. No private blocks are permitted. The use of blocks is optional at this event.
Club Socials: Send us your photos on Facebook or Instagram or tag us in your posts.
Event clashes: Track events have priority over field events. It is the responsibility of the athlete or parent to notify the Team Manager of any event clashes.

*After the track event is completed, the athlete must go directly to the field event.
Food & Drink: A cashless BBQ will be operating and a coffee van will also be available. Local cafes and shops are close by. We recommend you bring sufficient refreshments with you.
PB Board: The Balmain PB Board will be back. It is a wonderful record of the effort applied by Balmain athletes.

General Information about the Inner City Zone Championships

Zone Championships are conducted in each of the 24 Zones throughout NSW. Balmain is in the Inner City Zone along with Eastern Suburbs, South Eastern, Randwick-Botany, Canterbury, Inner West and Tiger Wests.

There is no competition at KGO that weekend so come along, represent Balmain and compete on a synthetic track. Send any questions to info@balmainlac.org.au

Event entry is by athlete application. An online Zone Entry Form will be sent by email and posted on our socials in early November. All Balmain athletes, in the 7s-17 age groups, are able to participate if they submit an application. Athletes in the 7s-U11s can compete in up to 4 events. Balmain can only enter 5 athletes in any 7s-11s event. There is no limit on the number of athletes that can compete in 12s-17s events. 12s-17s athletes are requested to enter 6 events.

Note for 7s to 11s athletes: We anticipate an over-subscription of entries in some events. Where more athletes apply than available places, selection will be at the discretion of the BAC Championships Sub-Committee (considering amongst other things athlete ranking, consistency of performance and attendance at Saturday Club competitions). The Sub-Committee will try its best to find an event for any interested athlete.

The parents of all competing athletes MUST commit to undertaking a rostered duty at the Zone Championship. The event cannot take place without the help of parents and carers.

A link to the Zone Volunteer Roster, Final Zone Program and Start Lists will be shared here when available.
